Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice
What this is. Some US state laws, including Washington’s My Health My Data Act and similar laws in Nevada and Connecticut, ask us to explain separately how we handle “consumer health data”. This notice does that for Feed Me. It adds to our Privacy Policy, which covers everything else we do with personal information.
1. Who we are
Feed Me is provided by Envy Applications (ABN 95 927 268 876), Western Australia, Australia (“we”, “us”). You can contact us at support@feed-me-app.com.
2. What consumer health data is
In these laws, consumer health data means personal information that is linked or reasonably linkable to you and that identifies your past, present or future physical health status. Much of what you enter in a diet and nutrition app can fall within that, such as your weight, body measurements, food log and health goals. We treat everything in the table below as consumer health data, whether or not a particular law would.
3. What we collect and why
| What we collect | Why we collect it |
|---|---|
| Body details you enter: age, sex, height, weight, body-fat percentage, activity level, and body measurements and weigh-ins you log | To work out your daily targets and show your progress |
| Your goal (lose, maintain, gain, or similar), its amount and pace | To set your targets and track your goal |
| Food, drink and water logs, including calories, nutrients and meal photos | To provide food tracking and your daily totals |
| Dietary requirements and ingredients you avoid, which can imply an allergy, intolerance or medical need | To filter recipes and suggestions |
| Progress photos and check-in answers you choose to add | To show your progress and, if you choose, to share with your coach |
| Energy and activity data from Apple Health or Health Connect, if you connect them | To adjust your calorie ring. This is read on your device. |
| Estimates and scores the app produces for you from the above | To give you the features you asked for |
We collect this only to provide the Feed Me features you ask for, and for the other purposes set out in our Privacy Policy. We do not use it to profile you for advertising.
4. Where it comes from
It comes from you, from the health apps on your device that you connect, and from estimates the app produces on your behalf. If you use a coach, it may also include targets and goals that your coach sets for you.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell consumer health data. We share it only as follows.
| Recipient | What is shared | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Our hosting and database providers (Google Cloud and Firebase) | Everything stored in your account | To store and sync your data |
| Our AI providers (Anthropic, and for imports, Google) | What you send for an AI feature, for example a meal photo or description. Recipe suggestions include your dietary settings. The in-app assistant also sees your name, calorie and macro targets, dietary preference, avoided ingredients, your food log (today’s, and other days when it looks them up to answer you) and your saved recipes. If you are connected to a coach, the coach’s AI tools can send a day’s food diary when the coach asks for it, summary figures such as average calories, macros and water, your targets and weight change, the meals you log most often, your meal plan and your check-in answers. | To produce the estimate or answer requested |
| Our speech-to-text provider | A voice note, only when you use voice input | To turn your speech into text |
| Our analytics, crash-reporting and subscription providers | Usage events and technical data. These do not contain your weight, goals, food names or calorie figures. For meals logged from an AI scan they can include the percentage by which the calories you saved differ from the AI’s estimate. Analytics is off until you switch it on in the UK, the EU/EEA and Switzerland (and where the region cannot be read), apart from a few server-side and subscription events described in our Privacy Policy. | To keep the app working and understand how it is used |
| Your coach, if you choose to connect one | What a coach can see is set out in our Privacy Policy: most of it from the moment the coach accepts, and three items (body statistics, measurements and progress photos) only if you switch them on | To let your coach support you |
| People you choose to share a file with | An export, recipe or image that you create and send | Because you asked us to |
| Authorities or courts, if the law requires | What the law requires | To follow the law |
The providers above act on our behalf, under contract, and may use the data only to provide their services to us.
Advertising measurement. While ad measurement is on for your device (see below, and never for anyone under 18), our attribution provider (AppsFlyer) receives your device identifiers, the fact that you installed and opened Feed Me, that you created an account, and, through our subscription provider, that you started a trial or subscribed. On iPhone, our subscription provider also reads an Apple Search Ads attribution token. AppsFlyer passes these on to advertising platforms (Meta and TikTok) so we can tell which ads worked. We do not send your body measurements, food or drink logs, goals, photos or health-app data to AppsFlyer or to those platforms — the only thing in it that touches health is that you use a food-tracking app at all. In the UK, the EU/EEA and Switzerland it is off until you switch it on; in the United States and elsewhere it is on for adults unless you switch it off, which you can do at any time in the app under Me → Notifications → Ad measurement. Turning it off is remembered on that device, including after you sign out, and it is also how you tell us not to share your information.
We do not use a geofence around any health-care facility.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can:
- ask us to confirm that we collect consumer health data about you, and access it, including a list of the third parties and affiliates it has been shared with;
- withdraw consent you have given us for collecting or sharing it;
- ask us to delete it, including from backups and archives within the time the law allows, and ask the providers and third parties that hold it on our behalf to delete it too; and
- appeal if we refuse a request.
We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
7. How to use your rights
- Delete it yourself: Me → Delete account removes your account and the data stored with it. Switch off ad measurement in Me → Notifications → Ad measurement. Disconnect Apple Health or Health Connect in Me → Health sync or in your device settings.
- Ask us: email support@feed-me-app.com from the address on your account. We may need to confirm it is you. We will respond within 45 days, and we may extend that once by another 45 days where reasonably needed, and we will tell you if we do.
- Appeal: if we refuse, reply to our message within 60 days to appeal. We will answer within 45 days of receiving your appeal. If you are still not satisfied, you can contact your state’s Attorney General.
8. Consent
Collecting it. We collect consumer health data as needed to provide the features you have asked for. Before the app asks for any body detail, the first setup screen tells you that continuing means you agree to us using your height, weight and goals to build your plan, and we record when you did. You can withdraw that consent at any time by deleting your account or by emailing us (section 7).
Sharing it. We do not share consumer health data for advertising. Advertising measurement, which could reveal only that you use a health and nutrition app, is governed separately from and in addition to the above, by its own switch (Me → Notifications → Ad measurement): off until you turn it on in the UK, the EU/EEA and Switzerland, and on for adults until you turn it off elsewhere. It is never on for anyone under 18, and you can turn it off at any time as described above, which we remember on that device.
9. Changes
If we change this notice, we will update the date at the top and, if the change is material, tell you in the app or by email where we can.
